DESCRIPTION:Teen Improv Intensive: Foundations– July 6-10th\nGrades 7–10 · No Experience Required\n\nThis one-week intensive is designed to help teens build confidence\, strengthen social skills\, and experience the thrill of live performance — all in a supportive\, professional theater environment. \n\n\nNo prior improv experience is needed. Students simply need curiosity and a willingness to collaborate. \n\nThroughout the week\, students will:\n• Learn the fundamentals of improvisation (“Yes\, And\,” listening\, ensemble)\n• Develop confidence speaking in front of others\n• Practice thinking on their feet and trusting their instincts\n• Build authentic connections with peers\n\n• Explore character and short-form performance games \n\n\nEach day blends structured teaching with hands-on scene work and rehearsal. Students are guided by two professional teaching artists\, ensuring individualized attention in a small-group setting (maximum 12 students). \n\n\nThe week culminates in a live Friday showcase during the last hour of camp on the Santa Fe Improv stage for family and friends. \n\n\nScheduleMonday\, July 6th through Friday\, July 10th\, 20269:00am–1:00pm dailyDrop-off begins at 8:45amPick-up by 1:15pmStudents should bring water and lunch each day. DESCRIPTION: \n\nTeen Performance Lab: Scene & Longform Intensive\n\nFor Returning SFI Students or Instructor Approval \nJuly 20- 24\nThis intensive is designed for students who have already completed an improv program and are ready to deepen their craft.\n\nThe Teen Performance Lab focuses on the heart of long-form improvisation: authentic two-person scene work\, emotional reality\, and ensemble precision. \n\n\nThroughout the week\, students will: \n\n• Strengthen grounded base reality in scenes\n\n• Develop emotional authenticity and character depth \n\n\n• Refine editing\, tag-outs\, and support work \n\n\n• Build stronger scene beats and relationships \n\n\n• Elevate performance confidence under stage lights \n\n\nWith two instructors in the room\, students receive targeted coaching and detailed feedback that supports measurable growth. \n\n\nThe week culminates in a polished long-form showcase performance on Friday during the last hour of camp for family and friends — highlighting the depth and maturity of their work. \n\n\nThis camp is ideal for teens who want to: \n\n\n• Take their improv skills to the next level \n\n\n• Challenge themselves creatively \n\n\n• Prepare for future advanced performance opportunities at SFI \n\nSchedule\n\nMonday–Friday \n\n\n9:00am–1:00pm \n\n\nDrop-off begins at 8:45am \n\n\nPick-up by 1:15pm \n\n\nStudents should bring water and lunch each day.
