A Valentine’s show made up entirely on the spot.
Dear Diary is an improvised show built first and foremost from real diary entries, love letters, and unsent messages—then expanded through audience interviews, questions, and spontaneous monologues.
How it works
- Before the show, audience members are invited (optionally) to place anonymous diary entries, journal passages, love letters, or unsent emails/texts onto a bulletin board in the lobby.
- The performers won’t know who any of the writing is from.
- During the show, performers select pieces from the board, read them aloud, and turn them into fully improvised scenes—created live and never repeated.
- Along the way, Big Jabroni will also interview audience members, take questions about love, and weave in off-the-cuff monologues inspired by the room.
Want to participate? (Always optional)
If you have any diary or journal entries, love letters, or unsent emails or texts, you’re welcome to bring them and share—anonymously and only if you want.
- Submissions are placed on a bulletin board before the show
- Performers won’t know who they’re from
- All materials can be returned to you after the show
