In this musical longform improv workshop, students will work on the basics of creating a musical improv scene, which includes creating a character point of view, matching and varying harmonies, creating unified choruses, and more. Students will then dive into creating an original narrative musical with their classmates!
Prerequisite: Level 2 or higher at Santa Fe Improv or equivalent experience.
Instructor: RJ Williams teaches at The Second City NY and has performed improv in the US, Europe, and Japan. He is part of the musical supergroup Baby Wants Candy, which performs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival every year, and is a veteran member of North Coast Hip Hop Improv. He is also a playwright, drummer, and produces music for various projects.
