Benjamin Taxy founded Santa Fe Improv in 2009 and served as the Artistic Director until 2019.
Taxy’s improv comedy lineage descends from Jeff Michalski and Jane Morris, founders of the Second City ETC and Fanatic Salon, Stan Wells, founder of The Empty Stage and author of The Marlowe Murders, Andy Goldberg, author of Improv Comedy, and Judy Carter, keynote speaker and best-selling author of The New Comedy Bible and The Message of You.
Currently Ben lives in Chicago, IL. He is the founder of Storytelling for Technology, a consultancy that works with tech companies to transform technical expertise into stories that sell, and the communication advisor for Tomorrow’s Air, a climate-focused startup. Previously he wrote for the network TV sitcom Family Guy and graduated from Harvard University.
