What makes us different is our objective: we are not primarily devoted to exclusively developing your comedy skills so you can compete in Hollywood.
We teach comedy so your skills on-stage transfer to your life off-stage.
That’s why we draw on best practices from professional improv and standup comedy, academic psychology, and business communication.
8-week modules progressing through 5 levels. At the end of each module there’s a class performance. You may also be selected to guest with a House Team. If you have experience, contact us — you can audition past Level 1.
Deep dives into a particular facet of improv with renowned guest artists. Masterclass teachers have included Will Hines, Matt Bessar, Neil Casey, and more. Available to Level 2+ students or with permission of the Artistic Director.
Write sketches with story, joke, and character frameworks, along with strategies for idea management, iteration, and using AI. Taught by Ben Taxy. Delivered via Zoom. Available to SFI students or with permission of the Artistic Director.
